Ethiopia Agrivoltaics Feasibility Study

For GGGI Ethiopia’s “Integrating Agrivoltaics for Climate-resilient Agriculture and Energy Transition in Ethiopia” project, the ENVELOPS consulting team carried out the detailed feasibility study from April to October 2025, with field surveys of candidate sites in Oromia and Sidama. The December 2025 close-out workshop confirmed technical, financial, social and environmental viability, identified the Central Rift Valley as a strong candidate site, and agreed a roadmap for piloting and scaling together with an investment concept note.
